Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to reduce excess fluid levels in the body while maintaining the potassium balance. It is used to treat edema (fluid overload) and some cases of hypertension.It is best to take Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet in the morning along with food in order to avoid frequent urination at night time. For better results, it is suggested to take it at the same time everyday.  The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.Dehydration is very common side effect of this medicine. It might lower down the level of calcium, sodium, and magnesium in the blood. Hence, regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes is important while using this medicine. It might cause dizziness or tiredness, if happens rise slowly from sitting position or avoid driving.Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver or kidney disease. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

- Driving : UNSAFE

Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

- Kidney : CAUTION

Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

- Liver : CAUTION

If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better. Do not drive or use any machines.| Q. Can the use of Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet cause gout?::: Yes, Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet can cause gout. Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet contains torasemide which can increase the blood uric acid levels by increasing its absorption from the kidneys. Increased uric acid levels can cause a gout attack. Inform your doctor if you have hyperuricemia (excess of uric acid in blood) or a history of gout before taking this medicine. Use of Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet should be avoided in patients with gout.| Q. Can the use of Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet cause dehydration (excessive loss of fluid)?::: Yes, the use of Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet can cause dehydration (excessive loss of fluid). The patient may experience dryness of the mouth, thirst, drowsiness, restlessness, muscle pain, weakness, tiredness, fall in blood pressure (hypotension), decreased urination (oliguria), increased heart rate (tachycardia), nausea and vomiting. Inform your doctor if you experience persistent problems while taking this medicine.| Q. Can the use of Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet cause hyperkalemia (increased potassium levels)?::: Yes, Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet can cause hyperkalemia (increased potassium levels). This occurs more commonly in patients with underlying kidney disease or in patients taking excessive potassium in their diet. High potassium levels can cause fatal heart problems. It is very important to get electrolytes and kidney function tests done on a regular basis while you are taking this medicine.| Q. What are the contraindications to the use of Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet?::: The use of Jbtor Plus 25mg/10mg LS Tablet should be avoided in patients with hypersensitivity to torasemide, sulfonylureas or spironolactone or any other ingredient of the product. The use of this medicine should also be avoided in patients with anuria, acute renal insufficiency, hepatic coma and pre-coma, low blood pressure (hypotension), cardiac arrhythmias, patients taking aminoglycosides or cephalosporins, kidney dysfunction due to drugs which cause renal damage, patients with high potassium levels (hyperkalemia), Addison's disease and in children with moderate to severe renal impairment.| Q. Both are diuretics and they help to remove excess fluid from the body. The use of this combination is advised in patients of congestive heart failure (heart failure leading to fluid accumulation in the lung and rest of the body), nephrotic syndrome (a kidney disorder), liver cirrhosis with fluid retention (edema) and swelling of the abdomen (ascites).| Q.
