Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension is given to children for the treatment of bacterial infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract. This medicine is also given as an empirical antibiotic for infected diarrhea mixed with blood and serious infections like peritonitis.Give Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension to your child orally, preferably at a fixed time, either before or after meals. In case your child develops a stomach upset, prefer giving it with meals. Generally, this medicine is prescribed to be given two times a day, in the morning and evening. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of intake, repeat the same dose but do not double the dose if it is time for the next dose. Never change the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor since these depend upon the type and severity of the infection, your child???s age, and body weight.In some cases, this medicine may cause some minor and temporary side effects, including nausea, vomiting, weight loss, metallic taste, headache, loss of appetite, abdominal cramps, and mild skin rash. These side effects are temporary and recede when your child gets used to the medicine. In case the side effects persist or start bothering your child, consult your child???s doctor without any delay.Narrate your child???s complete medical history to your child???s doctor, including any previous episode of allergy, heart problem, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. This information is critical for dose alterations and for planning your child???s overall treatment.

The reason being, one of the ingredients present in Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension can interact with alcohol-containing medicines like cough syrups and can lead to disulfiram reaction, causing nausea, vomiting, flushing, dizziness, etc.| Q. What if I give an overdose of Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension by mistake?::: An extra dose of Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension is unlikely to harm. However, if you think you have given too much to your child, immediately speak to a doctor. Overdose may cause unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat. Rush to your child???s doctor if you notice any of these symptoms.| Q. What should I do if my child shows no improvement even after taking Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension for the prescribed duration?::: It could mean that Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension is unable to kill the infection-causing bacteria. How should Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension be stored?::: Store Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension at room temperature, in a dry place, away from direct heat and light. Children may accidentally consume medicines if they find them while playing around. So, make sure that all the medicines are kept away from their reach and sight.| Q. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.| Q. My child has been passing red-brown urine ever since he started taking Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension? Is it normal?::: Fenflox OZ Oral Suspension contains active ingredient metronidazole, which causes red-brown urine. It is not pathogenic but a side effect. It subsides once the medicine is stopped after the completion of the treatment.
