'- Alcohol : UNSAFE

Consuming alcohol while taking Metron 400mg Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

- Pregnancy : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Metron 400mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

- Breast feeding : CAUTION

Metron 400mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.If a single dose of Metron 400mg Tablet is used, it is recommended to hold breastfeeding for 12-24 hours to allow the removal of the drug.

- Driving : UNSAFE

Metron 400mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Metron 400mg Tablet may make you feel sleepy, dizzy, confused. You may have hallucinations, fits (convulsions) or temporary eyesight problems (such as blurred or double vision) affecting your ability to drive.

- Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Metron 400mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Metron 400mg Tablet is recommended.Patients undergoing kidney dialysis should take this medicine after the dialysis treatment.

- Liver : CAUTION

Metron 400mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Metron 400mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Metron 400mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Can the use of Metron 400mg Tablet cause metallic taste?::: Yes, Metron 400mg Tablet may cause a temporary metallic taste. This metallic taste can be reduced by staying hydrated, brushing teeth after the meals and chewing sugar-free gum or mints.| Q. What if I take more than the recommended dose of Metron 400mg Tablet?::: If you have taken Metron 400mg Tablet in excess (more than the recommended dose), immediately contact your doctor or report to the nearest hospital. Overdose of Metron 400mg Tablet may cause loss of appetite, metallic taste, headache, dizziness, insomnia or drowsiness.| Q. Can I stop taking Metron 400mg Tablet when I feel better?::: No, do not stop taking Metron 400mg Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured. Hence, if you stop taking the medicine before completing the course, your infection may come back. Consult your doctor before you stop taking Metron 400mg Tablet and follow their advice.| Q. What if there is no improvement after using Metron 400mg Tablet?::: Inform your doctor if you did not feel better after completing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him/her if your symptoms are getting worse during the treatment.
